Restaurant Le Phoebus

The glassed-in terrace of the restaurant overlooks the Ariège River, offering a panoramic view of the imposing castle of Gaston Phoebus which, when illuminated in the evening gives this spot a fairytale ambiance.

In this refined and but relaxed atmosphere you'll savour the earthy, gastronomic cuisine of Mr Lamotte, who is cited in numerous restaurant guides: Tables Gourmandes de l'Ariège, Petit Futé, Hubert, Académie Européenne de la gastronomie française, France Etapes, etc. Le Phoebus also obtained 2 forks in the Michelin Guide of 2001.

Didier Lamotte

Specialities of the restaurant :
- Assiette de foie gras mi-cuit au naturel
- Tournedos de canard frotté en chapelure de noisettes, purée de pommes de terre à la fourchette, foie gras grillé jus à l'hypocras (recette vue sur TF1)
- Fondant moelleux au coeur coulant de chocolat et beurre salé

About us

From 2000 to the end of 2017 was a site devoted to tourism in the department of Ariège. The site is minimally maintained now but you can get a flavour of this beautiful area of the Pyrenees.
