Thermal spas in the Ariège Pyrenees
Thanks to its geology and geographical situation, Ariège boasts numerous thermo-mineral springs. The three thermal spas attract both curists and, increasingly, people on short stays for "remise en forme"--getting back into shape and generally relaxing. The mineral content of each thermal station's water is different and is reputed to have a beneficial effect on particular diseases and ailments:
